Cable car, skisport facilities 400 m, children's playground 200 m. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thunersee 13 km, Brienzersee 13 km. Please note: car-free holiday complex. Arrival via mountain railway. Additional accommodations can be booked. Arrival is only possible by train from Lauterbrunnen – 14 minutes driving time.

« Swiss Retreat »

We have visited Apartment Silberhorn several times and like to return because:
1. it's in a wonderful position with fabulous views;
2. It's very well equipped (it lacked a cheese grater so we purchased one and left it there);
3. It's very good quality.

The only downside is the lack of washing machine.

Wengen itself is somewhat noisier and busier than it used to be. Although it's described as 'traffic free' - because tourists and visitors cannot bring their cars up the mountain - in the Summer months you will find a large number of noisy vehicles and construction lorries in the resort. This is a great shame as Wengen is rapidly losing that elusive quality - peace and tranquility.
